as well as filling my website with 'ramblings', which, inevitably, no one will read, i'd like to provide something useful. as of december 2025, i've started work on two sections: one on 'music after Naxalbari', and another on the work of Carl Dahlhaus. if i manage a life in academia, i'll hopefully get opportunities to explore these properly. the first, in particular, is not really possible to study in detail at the moment – this is not only down to the present situation in India, but that at the moment I can't just travel wherever, and on a whim. i have a notes app page with a list of 'research ideas' which i'm not planning on sharing here, but i'd like to, if i can, produce any useful online resources for whatever i end up doing.
